Terms of Service

1. The service and these terms

These terms govern your use of ROCK WOI, the platform operated for The R.O.C.K. Church World Outreach International ("we", "us"). ROCK supports church events, groups, volunteering, learning, communication, member records, and staff administration. By using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the platform and contact us about another way to participate.

Use the service only when you are authorized to do so. A parent or guardian should oversee a minor's use where required. Acting for another person or organization requires appropriate permission.

2. Your account and responsibilities

Provide accurate information and keep your contact details current. Protect your password, sign-in links, codes, and devices. Use only your own account or an expressly authorized role, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Staff and ministry access is granted for assigned church responsibilities. Access to a record does not permit you to disclose it outside those responsibilities. We may adjust permissions when a person's role changes.

3. Acceptable use

Use ROCK lawfully and respectfully. Do not impersonate others, harass people, send spam, upload harmful code, bypass access controls, disrupt the service, or access or export records without authorization.

Respect confidential church, household, care, and youth information. Submit another person's information only with appropriate permission, and share only what is needed for the relevant activity. Do not use contact details obtained through ROCK for unrelated solicitation.

4. Content and privacy

You retain the rights you hold in content you submit. You permit us and the providers supporting ROCK to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the features you use and administer church activities, subject to the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having permission to submit it.

Church materials, branding, and software remain the property of their respective owners. Your account gives you permission to use the features available to your role; it does not transfer ownership of those materials. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information and Google user data are handled.

5. Optional Google Calendar connection

You decide whether to connect your Google account. When enabled, ROCK creates a separate ROCK responsibilities calendar and maintains events for the assigned tasks and accepted volunteer shifts you choose to sync. The integration requests permission for app-created calendars; it does not request access to your existing personal calendars, Gmail, or Drive.

Keep task and shift details up to date in ROCK. Synchronization runs in the background and may be delayed or interrupted. Check ROCK for the current schedule rather than relying on a calendar copy for urgent changes. Your Google Calendar sharing settings determine who can see copied event details.

You may disconnect in My Calendar or revoke access through your Google Account. Existing Google calendar entries remain until you remove them in Google. Google's own terms also apply to your use of Google services. The Privacy Policy explains stored connection information and how to request deletion.

6. Activities, messages, and third-party services

Event registration, volunteering, and other activities may have additional requirements communicated by their organizers. Check the activity details for eligibility, costs, cancellation, and refund arrangements before participating or making a payment.

Message delivery and connected services depend on external providers. Review the terms and privacy notices of services you choose to use. A link to another website does not mean that we control its content or practices.

The platform is not an emergency response service. Contact local emergency services when immediate assistance is needed.

7. Availability and changes

We may maintain, update, replace, or discontinue features. We work to keep information and services useful, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that every record or calendar update will be current at all times.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, and we do not accept responsibility for indirect or consequential losses caused by interruptions or your use of the service. These terms do not exclude rights, remedies, or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

8. Suspension and ending access

We may restrict or suspend access to protect people or the platform, respond to misuse, comply with legal obligations, or reflect a change in your authorized role. Contact us if you believe access was restricted in error.

You may stop using ROCK and request account or data assistance at the contact below. Ending access does not automatically delete church records, transaction history, or copies already sent to Google. Retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Updates and questions

We will post revised terms here with an updated date and communicate material changes through the platform or another appropriate channel. Please review changes before continuing to use the service. Contact us if you have a question or dispute so we can work to resolve it.

Please do not email passwords, sign-in codes, or sensitive ministry records.
